Ah... it looked like they were back in that fragment, the one where it was supposedly a happy ending. And yet... he too felt anxious, it was from Bernkastel's words and that... look she gave him. He didn't think he would turn into that monster again, he didn't... want to- it's not like it was something he would set out to do. No, he just wanted to be with Ange, to continue to protect her like he had been previous before all this... but... he needed to gain her trust back.

Amakusa sighed, and then turned around to look at her. He stared at her for a moment and then reached out to her, grabbing her and pulling her in for a hug. He too didn't say anything to her for a moment, and when he spoke up he felt as though his throat had closed. This was difficult- but he would get through it with her.

"Okay lady, listen up... whatever that witch said, don't listen to it. She's just trying to mess with your head. I lost control once, that was... well, it was because I had never allowed myself to actually devour anyone but... ah... I got a little too angry at how that guy was all over you.
