[She stirred in her sleep, groaning and not wanting to have to deal with the light that was streaming through the window, brightening up the room. Akazawa tugged the covers up more, trying to shelter herself from the cold she felt (due to the fact that her clothes were thrown about the room). Slowly she opened her eyes, and she turned to look beside her....

....Oh right. She did that with Natsuno last night. The memories made her face flush- but she soon shook her head and got rid of such flustered thoughts. She sat up, and luckily she noticed her white school top had been tossed on the bedpost. She reached out and grabbed it- putting it on and butting it up halfway, covering most things at least.

She turned to the boy beside her, flicking his forehead.]

Wake up. [she was so tender and loving, right?]

[ Normally he isn't really the type to be overly sappy or touchy, but.. this much is fine, yeah. Maybe he's partially just telling himself too that it's easier to protect her the closer she is to him, that that's the only reason he feels content as well over this, but he does like it beyond that too, really. And the whole thing about it already happening.. well, that just means he already has to be on guard even now.

But that much isn't what pulls his attention right now. It's more the rest she's talking about. Geez, of course he'd act normal around everyone, it wasn't like he was coming to school to make an idiot out of himself and majorly socialize with everyone, that was way too bothersome. ]

What kind of idea do you have about me? I'm not the type to go and stand out on purpose, you know. [ despite horrible fashion and hair choices.. ]

... Besides, as long as they don't actually hit on you or get overly close to you there's no problem. [ BUT THERE IS-- sure, he doesn't mind her talking to other guys, but if they would actually put the moves on her.. god, that thought somewhat annoys him. Probably even more just than 'somewhat', he's already glaring to himself a little at the very idea. ]

[She smiles at that and moves into him- playfully pushing him a bit as they continue to walk. She just liked hearing what he'd do if other guys got around her. Not like Teshigawara and the others would actually try to put the moves on her though, she's... a little snappy at school sometimes. She can't help it, she has to keep up that attitude of the class rep, along with wondering if someone is going to die any second.

Well, at leas the was around to protect her now...]

Hmm? And what'd you do if they did hit on me or got overly close....? You can't do anything, you barely know me.... right? [OH SHE'S JUST TRYING TO PUSH HIS BUTTONS NOW...]

Because he's thinking about it now and god, that would suck, if they would hit on her and he's still supposed to keep their relationship a secret, he seriously won't just allow himself to sit back and watch as that happens.. But he understands that in a way she's just trying to tease him about it, so he can do that in return too, just watch him..!! ]

Hmm.. [ pretending to actually think for a moment, but he already has it at ready. ] I guess I'd have to come out to them about the nature of our relationship then, huh.

[ HOW ABOUT THAT, AKAZAWAAAA?! ]

[.....Oh. So that's how it's gonna be huh? Just teasing each other back and forth? Fine, she'll bite. She looks up at him, smiling.]

Oh really....? Well, we can't have that. Sorry, it's going to have to be a secret. And when I go on that trip with the others I plan on wearing a pretty tiny bikini....

[ -- NO THAT'S TOO MUUUUUCH!! He hasn't even seen any girls in bikinis before-- well, Megumi probably tried but he never really paid attention to her so.. god, why!!

He noticably gets a bit more grumpy, but it's not exactly at her but more the idea of others guys seeing her in that.. guys who have crushes on her to begin with.. growls to self.. ]

[Oh Natsuno.... you're so cute when you're jealous. She stops teasing him and just starts to giggle to herself about such a thing. Really, he was adorable at times. She loved it when she could get him to growl like that.]

Haha! Don't take me so seriously....! I mean, we are going on a trip and everything- but I'll convince them to let you come along, that's okay right?

Even if you don't convince them, I'm going along either way.

[ YUP, HE'S NOW DETERMINED ABOUT IT.. although he's totally going to cover up his jealousy here, just watch him. ]

I have to make sure you're okay even then, after all.

[She's smiling still, rolling her eyes at his words. Really, she can tell he's already jealous from what she's said....

Akazawa stops walking for a moment, forcing him to stop in his tracks too.

For a moment, that umbrella is forgotten in the rain, she had tossed it to the side and in an instant she's moved to kiss him again, her lips pressing against his and arms wrapping around his neck to pull him down.

She just... wanted to tease him a bit before, this is like an apology for making him jealous.]

[ For a moment there's a groan, as if from surprise, but then he easily gives in. His arms move around her, holding her first on her upper back and then slowly sliding down to her waist instead as he kisses back. He's not really fazed by the rain - he's apathic about most things in life, at least the things like rain that don't matter. Especially not when he kisses her, then there's no way he could be bothered by something small like the rain pouring down on them.

Besides, she was already worried about turning up late to school and yet here she was, wasting her time kissing him instead. That already means enough to him.

After a few moments pass - they feel long, really long - he breaks the kiss off, but not letting her go just yet. One hand still holds on to her as the other moves to brush some of her now wet bangs out of her face. ]

... That works too. [ He's almost smiling a bit, really. ]

[School..? Oh right- that had completely left her mind for a moment. She was completely wrapped up in what she was doing with him, her body pressed against his as they shared a kiss in the rain.

When he pulled away from her she still had a small smile on her face, that rare expression of hers where she actually looked content, not actually stressed or worrying about the well-being of everyone else around her. Akazawa feels her face flush when he touches her hair like that, and she almost feels a little embarrassed from kissing out in the open like this.

She brings her hands down to his chest, gripping his shirt and she leans in towards him, her forehead pressing against his body.]

You're such an idiot.... I don't know why I put up with you, honestly.

[ He manages to catch a glipse of that smile of hers before she starts leaning towards him instead, and it's enough to make him content as well - even if he was already feeling a little like that just from being here with her. She's so focused on everything that's going on at her school, and it's understandable if it's a matter of life and death. He of all people can understand something like that. Yet at the same time he wants her to be able to relax a little more like this too. He's here to protect her from anything as much as he can, after all.

And then she says that and.. 'me neither', he thinks it and almost says it. In the end he doesn't, but it's definitely a genuine thought - why would she even put up with him, something that isn't even human anymore? ]

Who knows. Maybe you actually just like idiots.

[...Actually, that would be the best explanation for her, that she just has a thing for morons. It's true, she used to have a crush on Kouichi, wanting to protect him especially-.... they had shared a connection at one point a year and a half ago, and for some reason she still can't shake that feeling.

Even so, she loves Natsuno, he's the one she cares about the most right now.]

You're right... [she pulls away from him and looks up at the boy in question.] I'm just attracted to the stupid ones.

[And then she moves away from him, going to grab her umbrella... even though it's a wasted effort to try and stay dry now. She sighs, and then brings it up to keep the rain out for the rest of the walk.]

We're nearly at school.... so... just follow behind me for now.

[HUFF! And she continues to walk.]

[ Hey, this isn't the point where you confirm he's an idiot, okay!! It's a good thing Natsuno has total apathy towards most things, so he's able to just shrug it off. Even the fact that she's making him walk way behind her in the rain - while she has the umbrella, so he's just getting soaked here - doesn't seem to faze him much. He's too busy trying to get used to the surroundings either way, and also making sure nothing is coming that could potentially harm her. Thank god for heightened senses, they really help with that sort of thing. It means he can walk casually while still keeping a figural eye on everything.

So he just follows a little bit behind her, until they can see the school building in the distance. That does draw his attention, since.. this is the place where that curse or whatever originated, right? He's still not fully sure it's really a curse and not just something caused by Shiki or something of the like, so he's definitely keeping an eye on that. 8| Stupid other supernatural creatures.

A sigh. ]

So, from this moment on I'm supposed to not know you, right, Akazawa-san? [ they're at least still not too close to the building, so he can say this.. and yes, that last part was almost somewhat teasing, even if it's said casually. ]

... No, that doesn't sound right. I'll keep it at just Akazawa.

[Akazawa-san.....? She rolls her eyes at that, but it's good that he's behind her so he can't see that. Honestly, this might be... harder than she thought. She'll probably want to go to him and talk with him casually, but she'll have to treat him like any other student- he'll soon see more of her cold stare and harsh words.]

Yeah, keep it as Akazawa. It just sounds weird when you add those honorifics to my name. However, since you hate your first name so much I'll have to call you Yuuki-kun forever, hm?

[she looks back at him, glancing over her shoulder and there's a slight smile to her expression.]

[ Can you really treat your very own puppy harshly, Akazawa.. can you..?! ]

Yeah. [ He just answers in his usual complete apathy, nodding a little at her glance back before staring at the ground and kicking at a tiny rock. ]

I don't want anyone calling me by my first name, not even you. If anyone in that place does it I'll just ignore them until they learn to use my last name instead.

[YES SHE CAN!!!]

Hah- you'll ignore people your first day...? And don't worry, I don't think anyone will call you by your first name.

[And they're at the school. Akazawa walks in and goes to her locker, opening it up. She removes her shoes and puts the in there, and then grabs that different footwear.

She reaches above the lockers and finds a spare set, she tosses those shoes at him.]

C'mon, we're already late enough as it is.

[ WOOOOOOOOW RUDE!! ]

What's wrong with ignoring them on my first day? It's not like I came here to make friends. [ just came here to watch over Akazawa awww yeah bodyguard puppy.

Meanwhile he's working on taking his awful pink sneakers off as well and shoving them into a spare locker he found. If they are gone by the end of the day he knows he has to blame you for destroying his shoes, Akazawa. :| But yes, putting on the spare set.. ]

And if you're late either way, what do the few extra minutes matter? I'm sure they'll already be surprised enough to find out you of all people are late.

[....Stares at the pink sneakers... ugh, she really needs to take him shopping one of these days.]

Yeah.... it's already a surprise if I'm absent for a day, and now I'll be late. Pretty soon I'll turn into some school drop out.

[And she places a hand on her hips, looking away from him.]

...Did I ever tell you I might go to a school in Tokyo? I kind of... wanted to live on my own too.

... Tokyo? [ He can't help but pause at that for a moment. He's still staring at her, even if she's looking away, but.. that was always his dream too, right? Get out of town and into a big city, go to a university, and preferably Tokyo's.. and then hers is the same, the girl he loves' dream is.. the same as his, even if he already ruined his own chance at it? ]

I was actually planning to go there. [ at least he admits it, even if his voice is a little more quiet - not by a lot, though. ] Before.. well, you know. I sort of lost the opportunity.

[..She'd like for him to come live with her, actually. And when he says he had been planning to go there too, she glances back at him. What lost opportunity? He could still go.... he would be a Shiki in a big city, but... she'd let him drink some of her blood if he ever needed it.]

No one's stopping you from going again, you know.

[and then she turns and starts to walk away, heading to the classroom.]

[ No one's stopping him.. yeah, that's true. He's the one stopping himself. Because he should be dead rather than alive, being what he is. Because what Tatsumi said is true - no one would accept him.

And yet, this girl..

He drops the topic, lost in his thoughts until they're near the classroom. That's when he speaks up again. ]

I actually am sort of curious as to the look on their faces when they see you're this late.

[Ugh. She is so going to get in trouble for being this late, really. When he makes a comment like that, she stop right outside the door and turns to glare at him.

And then she takes a deep breath and slides the door open. All eyes on her of course... and Mikami-sensei is talking about something, but now Akazawa walks in, telling her to give her a second.]

Everyone, I have an announcement to make. It seems that.... the principal just informed me we have an ex-..... another student coming into the classroom, only for a little bit though. He's an foreign exchange student.

[get over here and introduce yourself ho.]

[ ... right, this is the part where he introduces himself, but.. god, he hates doing that. He hates being in the spotlight, having everyone look at him, it's so annoying..

Okay, let's just get it done and over with quicly. He's just sauntering into the classroom, standing in front of it, hands in the pockets of his pants and all. ]

... Natsuno Yuuki. [ TOTALLY AN ACCEPTABLE INTRODUCTION, RIGHT? :D See, he's already nodding to the class, as if he's done.. ]

[oh my god. She quickly turns her attention to him, frowning so hard, glaring as well. And then she just huffs and turns back to the class.]

Any problems?

[there are probably a lot, the students mostly just look bewildered.... and since a lot of students are absent now since they tried to flee, there's a few empty desks. She walks over to her desk, taking her seat and then proceeds to get her notebook and pencil out.

go find a seat loser.]

[ WHY ARE YOU GLARING AT HIM, WOMAN. He's just standing there with the kind of look that says 'what did I do..' Completely innocent and all that.

But yes, he's just.. staring around the class, really, he's wondering where sitting around would be the least bothersome.. oh, wait, there's a desk free almost right behind Akazawa, hehehe. CHOICE MADE.

He casually saunters over and flops down on the seat at said desk. Problem?! ]
