Amakusa and Ange had found themselves at the boathouse, and soon their journey would be over. By that, he was referring to what he was supposed to do once they arrived, but he wasn't about to go through with that mission. He was meant to be a traitor, he was meant to kill her once they arrived- and eve back in the fourth game he was the one who went through with such a thing. Was he just supposed to ensure she never lived past that day...? What a joke, what horrible furniture he was made out to be.

He was never good at following the rules though, he had fallen in love with his client- with someone he was meant to murder, and after that he would report back to the theater going witches. They liked seeing Ange suffer, so if they knew they had these feelings for one another, then that would only make things worse. They might even be pit against each other, forced to destroy the other.

As he mused to himself, he stared out at the waves of the ocean that still rose and fell near the shore he was standing at. It was a good feeling to be out here and not in there, if he was out here- it was like nothing else existed, that he wasn't meant to merely kill her. No, he wanted to stop thinking about that, and he wanted to tell her.

He wanted to tell her he was just furniture, that he was just a demonic servant- and then they would make that contract that was never fulfilled. A kiss that would contain so much more than just sealing the deal between master and familiar.

Seeing the man on the ground there was like a double torture. First of all there was the pain and guilt again at seeing just how hurt he was, how beaten up by the same man who was slowly starting to undress her now, moreso than she had ever seen him other than the last time this Battler popped up. And then of course on the other hand there was the fact that she didn't want him to see this, she didn't want him to look because even with how bad it already was in general Ange didn't want the man she loved to see how she was--

Before she could even finish her train of thought she felt Battler grabbing her once again, bringing them closer again - the very touch almost managing to make her shudder slightly in fear, nervosity for what was about to come, and then she felt him on her neck, kissing her there like that. "S-- stop.." There wasn't anything physical she could do against him, but at the very least she wanted to do something, anything to make him stop this, it was like torture. Her voice was much softer than usual and completely lacked its usual deadpan, instead sounding much more vulnerable and almost a little broken, something much more honest to her inner self than she usually showed. If this already felt so bad, then she dreaded to see what would happen if he would go further - she didn't want that at all, not with any man other than Amakusa and especially not in front of him like this. Maybe if she would hope hard enough, he wouldn't do for the rest of her clothes as well, she could only hope that.

Ange tried to blink away the tears that were forming in her eyes at all of this as she watched Amakusa lying there with all that blood. "Amakusa, don't-- hngh, d-don't look.." It would only hurt him, hurt her, so even if this situation was horrible to start with maybe that would make it just slightly better. She tried to move her body a little to escape from Battler, but that was useless. His grip on her middle was just too strong, so even though she loathed the feel of his lips on her neck she couldn't do anything about it.

Her body stiffened up as she felt him starting to work on the buttons of her blouse too now. If he would get that far, she would already be half naked with only her bra to protect herself, not to mention he was still sucking on her neck like that in such a disgusting manner. So there was actually a sort of relief when she felt he wasn't going higher up after a few buttons.. but it was not long-lasting, considering she was shoved on the ground right after. He didn't even have to tell her, she already knew she wouldn't enjoy any of this, the agony of having someone other than Amakusa doing all this to her, molesting her.

But she couldn't do anything, she couldn't even lift her head from the ground with the way Battler was pushing it down on the ground so hard. Ange was determined to at least not try to show now how much she hated all of this, hated him, how she felt weak and scared and utterly helpless as she felt his hand sneak over her thigh, sending shivers up her spine and letting out a helpless squeak.

Although then something happened she didn't expect at all, because even from her position on the ground like that she could see Amakusa getting up from where he was lying, even though he was so badly hurt. When she noticed him spitting out blood she wanted to plead to him to not push himself further even though he was that hurt, even if it was for her sake. More than anything Ange didn't want to see him getting even more hurt than he already was, even as she was about to have her first time taken from her like this, that important thing she had only wanted to give to the man who.. ... was transforming?

Ange's sad look, bordering on despair, changed into surprise as she noticed the man changing forms, even though she had already seen him doing it before. But there was something different about it this time, something even more ferocious. It was Amakusa, and yet.. that sound was not human in the slightest, more like a beast out for blood, and shivers ran down her spine once again. And when he ran at them and heard that sound-- she hadn't heard a sound like it ever before, but she could guess what it was, especially with the way Amakusa had been running at them in his werewolf form. He must have been biting Battler, and at least that slacked the man's grip on her head enough to make her able to at least turn her head and look at them.

"A-- Ama..?" The first syllables of his name flowed out of her mouth immediately out of sheer surprise.

Ange couldn't even bring herself to move as she watched all of it. It was just too shocking, it made her completely freeze up on the spot she was lying on the ground still, only lifting herself up a little so she would be able to watch it in the first place. The way he was running around, and tearing up Battler like it was nothing.. that wasn't human, there wasn't anything human about it, it was only something a real beast would do without any sense of humanity. But.. it was Amakusa, right..? He had just transformed, but it was still Amakusa, so why was he acting this violent, like he didn't even think straight anymore? Even though he killed Battler like that, completely tore him up..

By now Ange was splattered with blood as well, there was no escaping it in this room with the way the wolf had ripped Battler apart, his blood splattering on everything in the room. Shaking a little at the thought of Amakusa acting like this, Ange slowly brought up her fingers to her cheek to wipe away the blood-- but instead when she saw it on her fingers now as well her breathing turned a bit shaky too in the shock.

For a moment she was convinced he would go for her now - even though she knew this was still Amakusa, even if he was acting like this (maybe that had just been the only way to defeat this Battler), so he wouldn't hurt her.. right? - but then he jumped past her and tore up the goats as well. Now.. it was just the two of them left in the blood-splattered room, and all Ange could do was stare at the wolf with wide eyes, as if she was in disbelief.

"Amakusa..?" As she called out his name her voice was very soft - no more than a whisper, almost, as if something bad would happen if she were louder. "What.. are you doing? You didn't have to.. to kill them like that, right..?" She swallowed thickly, forcing herself to not take her eyes off the wolf there even if it was difficult. She wanted to believe Amakusa was still in control and this was all just a misunderstanding, anything that wasn't real, but.. Ange could barely even breathe now. Why did she suddenly feel so scared..?

"P-please, tell me.. you're not losing yourself, are you..?"

When he came closer to her, she already didn't have time - or energy - to stand up anymore, not this quickly. Instead she at least rolled her back, so she would be able to face him while lying down like that. It was a decision she started to regret instantly though, considering she had to stare up to that expression on the wolf's face, like it just wanted to see blood, and feel the blood slowly dripping down on her as well. Then.. after everything, it was going to end like this? They made it through everything else, but now she was going to die here, killed by her own bodyguard, her own furniture, her own lover? Would she be slashed up and chomped on like Battler or those goats, like she was nothing to him, just like they had been nothing but enemies to him?

... But even so.. the thought of being torn apart like that didn't compare to the pain she was feeling now, the pain of having to see him like this. This wasn't like Amakusa at all, he had never been so bloodthirsty, never so inhuman. "Amakusa.. Stop, please.." Her voice now seriously started to shake heavily, and she could feel tears starting to well up in her eyes again. Except this time she couldn't even blink them back or try to force them down. She didn't even care about keeping up any sort of strong front right now, instead letting them roll down her cheeks as she stared up at him still, her heart in the clutches of fear and despair.

When he brought up his claw, she knew it would be over. All he had to do was move it down and she'd be gone with one well-aimed slash, and then.. what would happen then? He would tear her apart too and have to live as a wolf like that forever, constantly in bloodlust and always all alone? She didn't want that for him either, so maybe she just had to remind him. Remind him that he wasn't a wolf, not some wild beast, but that the human who had spent so much time with her was him as well.

That's right, the guy who had always been grinning and laughing, completely having fun over the smallest of things like driving the car and listening to jazz music, who constantly teased and annoyed her on purpose but who, even so, had always been by her side and had become the man she loved more than anything.

"Stop.." That's right, to remind him of the person he once was.. what would be a better way than to just use that name, the one she had never used before? "Stop, Juuza!" Ange seriously felt out of breath now, her chest moving up and down as she still tried to get some air in her system. The tears didn't stop coming either.

And.. well, if she was going to die here either way..

Ange slowly reached up her hands to the wolf's face, apparently not even caring about all the blood or the sharp teeth by now - they didn't mean much compared to the idea she might be dead in another moment, either way. "Or at least.. let me first tell you t-that.. I love you." She managed to weakly put said hands on the side of his face, letting out a slight sob-like sound. "No matter what."

The moment she saw him slowly stopping his attack, and then even changing from that wolf form back to his normal self.. a wave of relief washed over her instantly, knowing that it'd be alright now, he remembered. He was fully himself again, just the way she remembered that man. And that feeling of relief, how glad she was that he was himself again, was enough to make her cry further, although this time the tears involved were tears of happiness. He wasn't just out for blood anymore, he was just that more normal man again. Somehow Ange felt like she couldn't stop crying no matter what, and for a moment she closed her eyes even as the tears continued, feeling the frightened and sad feelings wash away for the most part because of this. He was even calling her by her name without any honorific, just like she had done to him to make him remember..

"Juuza.." She repeated his name inbetween the sobs, it was hard to talk like this but she wanted to repeat it all the same, as if just repeating it would be enough to instantly make things better like they had just now.

Even though his hand was covered in blood.. it felt warm on top of her own hand, and she was already covered in blood either way so she didn't mind. It was okay as long as they could just touch like this, a reminder of how he was here, actually on her side and not out to kill her.

"You're back, t-.. thank god.." She was far from her usual deadpan self with the way she was crying - happily, judging from that near-smile through the tears - but she didn't seem to care, all she cared about right now was him.

She finally tried to make herself stop crying, sniffing a little as she felt him wrapping his arms around her to hold her, the feeling of him being so close to her now.. Ange had nothing but scared since they had managed to finish climbing that wall - first seeing Amakusa being beaten up before being molested by that Battler and then having to face that bloodthirsty wolf form, Amakusa getting out of control - but now she finally started feeling a little more safe again, just from him being there right with her and their enemies being gone, even if her enemy just now had been him. But now he was holding her, almost literally protecting her with his body now, protecting her from the cold outer world and her own fears and despair.

Ange had her hands on his face before, but now he moved closer she moved her arms past him too to hold him as well, almost clinging to him a little in the way she was holding him. She wanted those words to be true more than anything, that he wasn't going anywhere anymore, that he'd stay right here with her.. so she would never have to feel that hurt and scared ever again. But even through all of that, she never blamed him for anything.. no, she still loved him just as much as before, just like she said, especially if he would just stay with her now..

"Hmm.." Her voice wasn't as shaky anymore, but it was still soft and for a moment she buried her face on his shoulder. "Don't ever leave again.."

The smell and sight of all this blood, even on the both of them, was enough to be sickening. But his presence which had first felt threatening when he was caught up in that bloodlust now just seemed like her only life raft in the middle of all this red. After everything that had happened here she just felt so incredibly small and vulnerable, completely unlike that strong front she always put up, and part of her just felt like clinging on to him so he could save her from this, from everything, even from himself if need be.

But instead she just sat there, staring at him as he touched her cheek like that. Even if the tears had stopped, the feeling behind them hadn't completely left her yet. There was still something more sad and broken in her eyes, that which was always there behind her deadpan but she never showed. But, his question..

"... No. I'm not afraid of you." It was the truth. She was afraid, but.. not of him, not of the person sitting in front of her. What she was afraid of was maybe just his other form instead - she wasn't sure if she would be able seeing him as a wolf again after this, even if it wasn't meant in such a harmful way as it had been just now. Ange moved up her own hand to put it over his' while it was still on the side of her face. She didn't plan to say all she was thinking about, but suddenly the words flowed out, as if any filter of sorts was gone by now. "Just.. please, don't change.. Stay who you are now."

That applause, and that witch.. Why did she have to show up now of all times, while she was still feeling so weak, so vulnerable, while she had to at least be at her strongest to normally face her. And there was no guarantee that she would fulfill her promise now and actually grant them that happy ending, what if she would start to pick another fight with them here, while they were already covered in blood and emotionally exhausted?

She had to be strong now, so Ange quickly forced herself to her feet as well, even if she still felt like her legs were made out of jelly, nearly making her wobble as she stood. The girl tried to force her usual deadpan expression, but it was so hard that.. after a moment of hesitation, she just grabbed the man's hand instead, even if she was still slightly standing behind him. Even if he had scared her, she still loved him more than anything and with the way she was feeling right now, not strong at all, she just wanted to rely on him and borrow his strength like this. She squeezed Amakusa's hand a little before she finally managed to force something on her face that didn't make it seem like she had been completely miserable just now.

"Very funny." Her voice was tight, and still slightly softer than usual. She really didn't have the patience to deal with Bernkastel right now.. "Any more jokes?"

As if Ange would just remain quiet at something like that, really. She didn't trust Bernkastel, not at all, especially not after everything that had happened just now, but.. at the same time, those words caused a shiver to run up her spine. She was letting them go just because this witch thought she would be suffering more when just normally with Amakusa than whatever Bernkastel could pull off to cause her suffering?

But there was no way that was true, right? If she would get out of here, she could just live happily together with Amakusa, with the guy she loved, without having to worry about getting hurt or anything else.. Yeah, the witch was just obviously trying to mess with her mind again, so why did she suddenly feel so scared, almost frozen stiff, at those words? These was nothing - the view of eyes lusting for blood - that could go wrong if they - that claw hanging above her - were just together, so..

... Ah, why was that image she had been so frightened of, the moment when she thought she would just die there, so hard to put out of her mind?

Her grip on Amakusa's hand loosened just slightly, almost subconsciously. "What do you mean.. suffering at his hands? At least tell me that, Bernkastel..!"

Why hadn't that witch said anything, anything at all-- even some vague indication of what was about to happen if there really was something like that about to happen would have been okay, so why did she once again have to make her all paranoid because she didn't say anything more specific? Was she saying Amakusa would suddenly snap again at one point or another, that he would turn into his wolf form again with that same bloodlust as last time and that he would really physicially hurt her this time?

Ange couldn't even say anything, not even when they found themselves back in a more familiar place. The witch had kept her promise and sent them back to a happy fragment, happier than the one the came from, one where they could apparently just stay together, but.. was that just so the witch could watch from somewhere how he would hurt her? Her chest felt tight with the anxiety and paranoia. She still loved the man, of course she did. More than anything she wanted to stay with him and become happy together, but.. was that really possible now? Had Bernkastel been right about what she had said?

She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't even move from where she was standing the moment they appeared there, nor did she say anything - she just quietly stared in front of her into the distance, trying to get herself a bit more composed again but it was difficult.

She felt a little surprised when he suddenly grabbed her like that to hug her, but she didn't protest against the hug itself at all, even when they were just quiet for a few moments. It was nice and warm, after all, and somehow it felt more safe even if the witch's words still scared her. She wanted to believe in him more than anything, believe that they could be happy together after all and that all Bernkastel said was just rubbish, even if it was difficult to do so with the memories still this fresh in her mind. Not being completely covered in blood helped with the fact, though, and she slowly turned her head up so she was at least look at him as he spoke up.

"No, I.. understand." Her gaze still was a little dejected though even as she talked. It was true though, it was only natural that he would get mad at seeing that copy of her older brother trying to molest her right in front of him. Even though it had always been so hard to just speak to him honestly, the tsundere part of her tending to take over, she knew she at least had to try her best and be honest now, more than any other moment.

"I'm just scared that.. maybe she knows, maybe it'll happen again or something like that, because something else that threatens us will appear again for some reason so you'll have to transform again and.." For a moment she paused again, swallowing, and she averted her gaze a little. "What if you'd kill me..? What would you do?" She didn't mind dying all that much, since as long as she couldn't be together with him there was nothing else left in this world for her either way, no chance for a happy life. But if there was still a chance for the two of them to live happily instead, then.. she just didn't want that to be thrown away.

Without her, he didn't want to live either, huh..? At least that was mutual then, and now she realised that they both wanted the same - neither of them wanted something like that to happen again if they could help it. Even he just wanted to stay happy with her like this, so who would she be to deny him the opportunity, to just push him away? Why should she hurt them both with something neither of them wanted?

Yes, the least she could do was at least offer him that second chance. Even if it would eventually somehow end up with her being hurt again.. then that would just be it. She would just have to accept that being the end, the point where they couldn't be happy together.

But for now, if there was still a chance, still a dream.. Ange stared at his usual smile, much more like what she was used of from him, and let out a deep breath, almost as if she was annoyed again. But actually it almost sounded amused more than anything. "I love you too.." This time she clearly had more difficulty with it. Last time it had been so instinctive to call him by his first name, since it had been needed to bring him back, but.. now when it wasn't required, it was much more difficult to push herself to do it. Still, even if a blush appeared on her face, she did her best to force it out. "J--.. Juuza."

At least for a while more.. they could stay like this. For as long as they had the chance to be happy.
