7am wakin' up in the mornin'
Amakusa had a plan.
It was a daring plan, but it was a plan nonetheless. It had been a few days since that time they had to show their love to the witches and overcome a trial. It had actually been.. really nice, just being around Ange and looking after her like he had before- but now he didn't have the weight of the witches to think about. They were gone, he had suspected maybe they checked up on them once in a while to see if he was becoming this beast again. He wouldn't do such a thing again, so he had to make sure this plan went off without a hitch.
"Lady," Amakusa called out to her as he came storming into the kitchen. It was a good thing Ange had shooed away all the other servants so it could just be them for a few days, maybe she didn't trust yet but- they had the whole mansion to themselves.
"I have a plan, and of course- since it's a plan thought up by me it's flawless."

Freud would have a field trip with this kind of situation, she couldn't help but think.
"I'm not going to ride him, Mammon." At least she managed to get that out with the most flat and monotonous tone she had been able to muster up in a while, and she glared slightly at the two before turning on her heels to walk up the stairs instead.
"I'm tired of all of this. Just let me nap already."
no subject
"Oh well... this isn't as exciting anymore," with that, Mammon gave a 'v' sign to the wolf before disappearing in a cloud of butterflies.
Amakusa on the other hand... saw a different opportunity to tick off Ange. The wolf ran after her, but he went past her yet again, dashing back towards her bedroom. He had a plan...! Once he was in her room, he went right to her bed, grabbing the sheets with his mouth- and he pulled them off. After that was done, he crawled under the bed, trying to make his own comfortable spot.... but with Ange's blankets of course.

... No, wait. There was definitely only one spot that guy-- well, wolf could be right now. So with a slightly lineface-yet-annoyed expression she squatted down to be able to look under the bed. And her hunch was right, that was exactly where he was sitting with the blankets, as if he was building some sort of nest just for him there.
"Were you still planning on sharing those or what?" Ange tried her best to keep her tone as calm and collected as possible - the last thing she wanted was for this guy to get amusement even out of this.

'Depends... you've been kicking me out to sleep on the couch these last couple days. Can't you share the bed this once lady?'
Oh and have a few sounds of him whining, why not.

She wasn't going to fall for a trick as stupid as this.
She could easily ignore it.
............
Okay, so maybe she couldn't exactly ignore it, because there was something incredibly adorable about all of this, and... well, they did love each other, so it wasn't too horrible if he shared the bed with her, right? It would just be lying together in the same bed, nothing strange about that, and he was just like a big dog right now, so that would even make it even less strange, plenty of people have their pets sleep on their beds.
So after a deep breath - and trying to hide her embarassment behind a lineface - she nods relunctantly. "... Yeah. I guess you can sleep with me on the bed."
no subject
'Oh lady~! Thank you thank you! I've been wanting to at least sleep in the same bed for a while. Don't tell me I have to be a wolf every time though...'
no subject
"If you promise to behave this time, maybe next time you can try it as a human." It would be a step up the ladder of embarassment to actually sleep in the same bed as a guy rather than a wolf though, even if in the end they were the same person, not to mention the person she loved. "So get those sheets out from under there and you can come up on the bed with me."
Meanwhile Ange stood up to walk over to the bed's side and sat down on it, removing her shoes and then starting to work on her jacket - it would be too hot to nap with her jacket on, after all, so she dropped her ribbon and jacket to the ground as well, opting to just lie there and sleep a bit in her blouse.

Amakusa clawed at the bed- as though he was digging to try and make his own place to rest. He was doing it to see her reaction again, it wasn't like this wolf form had more control over himself than his human form.
'Just keeping digging~...!' he sang to himself in his head, but Ange could probably hear it too.

Instinct kicked in before reasoning, and so Ange couldn't help but first react as if it had been a regular dog doing that, even if she had heard his voice in her head again just now. "H.. hey! Cut that out!"
It wasn't until she reached over as if to stop him that she realised that maybe it was just another one of his silly jokes while he was stuck in this form - and that she was falling for it yet again.

He stopped digging and sat on the bed, staring over at her and his tail wagging slightly, 'lady you're so predictable... it's adorable.' And with that, the wolf moved over to where she was, plopping down on his side.
Before could say anything, he was already moving to snuggle closer with her, and arm moving over top of her, almost in a protective manner. He was still Amakusa after all, and he loved Ange- so holding her close was like second nature.

Geez, this guy just had to be annoying no matter his form or the situation, but then.. why didn't she exactly even feel annoyed anymore, the feeling quickly starting to fade away from within her? Instead it was replaced with a feeling that was a little happier, and at the very least warmer. Him holding his arm over her like that.. even though she was always stubborn enough to want to do things for herself and even try to fight for herself and protect herself, there was still always something nice about him protecting him, if not just because it made sure she at least had the feeling that she knew there was always someone right there for her. After everything Bernkastel made them go through.. If this fragment was really supposed to be happy, then there was no problem with being happy with him, right..?
"What, are you trying to be my guard dog here?" She remarked that at the protective arm, but it wasn't really deadpan anymore - it was a little softer, and at the very least there was more of a warm emotion in it than her deadpan. Ange moved one of her arms a little too to be able to stroke his fur lightly with her hand.

Amakusa moved his claw, grabbing her wrist. Gently, he brought her hand towards his chest, right over his heart. She could probably feel it beating, he wanted her to since he had a point he wanted to make.
'Ange...' the dropped honorifics and everything, 'no matter what form I'm in, what has happened or will happen between us. I want you to remember, my heart belongs to you. Not only as a servant to a master.'
Gaahh he was being sappy again. He didn't really mean to come off so corny, he really blamed Battler for the sixth game. It was a curse to see those two demons running around screaming about love.

"I--" Ange just stammered a little at first as she tried to find words throughout how flustered she was, but she quickly shook her head to herself a little to make herself speak on. "I wouldn't want it to be like that either way.. only as a servant to a master, that is." Thinking of this man as just her servant, her furniture, almost a possession of hers.. no, she definitely couldn't do that since she truly loved him. "I'll.. love you forever. No matter what." Hadn't she already proved that much when she had told him the same even when he had been hovering over her, holding out his claw as if to strike?
She lowered her eyes a little as if avoiding his gaze a little now and spoke on. "So please don't say something like 'no matter what will happen'.. You said Bernkastel was just lying, so.. We were going to believe in that, right?" It was gradually already becoming slightly easier to let him see this side of her, more emotional and loving and vulnerable, but it was still difficult enough to leave the blush on her face constantly.

No matter what huh? That was an incredible statement. He still didn't know what was in store for them, but he had a feeling that things might change. Bernkastel might be a liar at times, but she woudn't set them free unless there was something else about to happen. He assumed as much and it sounded like the logical explanation.
'Bernkastel is lying,' now he was the liar here, but it was to make her feel better, 'and I'll always love you, lady.' He had to add her little nickname, he's not the best at being sappy. He was tired though, so taking a nap with her would be good for both of them.

Ange had already closed her eyes as if she was ready to nap already (she did feel a little tired by now, and the warmth coming from him only helped that), apparently for once not minding that she was this close to him. She tugged on the sheets a little to cover them more before just lying still on her side next to him.
"Then.. it's alright, isn't it?" If Bernkastel was lying, there was nothing bad that could happen as long as they were together, as long as he was by her side.. they could just live happily here, right? "There's nothing to worry about anymore." Her voice wasn't much more than a mumble by now.

He noticed that she had fallen asleep by now, his much bigger frame side by side with hers. She was cuddling him slightly, but after he was sure that she was asleep and wouldn't wake back up right away, he had slowly transformed back into that of a human.
Amakusa was back to being just a man again, and he stared at her sleeping form, smiling. He reached out to her, brushing her bangs out of her face, and then his hand trailing down her cheek. He had woken her up like this back in the sixth game, but by how exhausted she was he guessed she wasn't going to wake up from his touch.
"I just hope there's nothing to worry about..." he whispered to her before drifting off to sleep himself.
